After a week-long vacation in Taiwan, I captured some breathtaking photos that showcase the diverse perspectives of the island’s most remarkable and unforgettable attractions. We explored over 19 attractions during our visit to Taiwan; however, I can only present 19 of them. To provide a comprehensive overview, including insights on Wen-Wu Temple and Sun Moon Lake, the total number of attractions discussed amounts to 25, which also encompasses insights from other sites. Taipei 101

From the top of Taipei 101, the aerial view gives you a whole new perspective on the world below. Being up here on the observation deck, there are plenty of great spots for photos, but the conditions can be tricky. It’s winter in Taiwan, and the temperature drops fast. The misty weather outside the glass makes photography a challenge, but I’m not in a hurry to snap shots. I’ve traveled too far to make mistakes, totally noo! there’s no room for error in photojournalism.
The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway
Yuchi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan.

Sun Moon Lake is not only a must-see destination, but it also has some thrilling rides to enjoy. The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is a gondola lift that provides a laid-back cable car experience, showcasing the stunning beauty of Sun Moon Lake and the nearby Buji mountain forest.

If you still have time, wander around, this is the most delightful way to enjoy the scenery of the famous lake.

If you want the best views, I recommend taking a ride in this crystal cabin with a glass bottom. It’s super exciting to look down and see the scenery below!
Yehliu Geopark
New Taipei City, Taiwan

An awe- inspiring natural wonders. A notable characteristic of the cape is the hoodoo formation. The striking rock formations known as Queen’s Head and Princess’ Head resemble women’s heads and took approximately 4,000 years to develop. The area is characterized by cold temperatures and strong winds, with waves crashing around you; however, I found the experience of exploration to be truly unforgettable.
Qingling Farm-Green Green Grassland
Renhe Road, Ren’ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan

It’s a dreamy land where hills are alive! Qingjing farm best known as the”Paradise above the Mist” the sublime view of the beautiful landscape under the blazing sun formed by a vast open pasture and did I mention that you can pet all animals? The farm symbol is the friendly mountain sheep can be found all around scrambling up steep slopes.

Cherry Blossoms of Alishan
Chiayi County, Alishan Township, Taiwan

Check out these stunning photos of Taiwanese cherry blossoms, also known as Sakura! They’re sure to thrill any cherry blossom enthusiast. The views are even more breathtaking, especially since there are fewer crowds, which adds to the wild, natural vibe.
Hehuan Wuling Mountain
Taiwan, Nantou County, Ren’ai Township

Hehuan Wuling Mountain, often referred to as “Joy Mountain” stands at 3,416 meters above sea level in Central Taiwan. This stunning high-altitude spot, like its neighboring peaks, is particularly renowned for its breathtaking beauty during the winter months.

The peak lies on the borders of Nantou and Hualien.
Sun Moon Lake

The 8-hectare lake, with its wide-open space, is nestled among mountains. The landscape is mirrored on the water, creating a lush green view. Many people claim that the true beauty of Taiwan lies in Nantou, and the crown jewel of Nantou County is Sun Moon Lake.

Sun Moon Lake encircles a small island known as Lalu. The eastern part of the lake is shaped like a sun, while the western part resembles a moon, which is the origin of its name. As the largest lake in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is also the home of the Thao people, a small group of indigenous Taiwanese who have resided in the area.

The semi-circular topography of Sun Moon Lake presents a stunning blue crescent in the morning, with ferry boats, lush green mountains, and lakeside trees mirrored on the tranquil water, creating one of the most picturesque attractions in Nantou.Totally the picture of serenity, the natural beauty and striking scene of sunrise blends together in perfect union.
Wen-Wu Temple

From Sun Moon Lake, you can see the magnificent and expansive Wen-Wu Temple. Wen-Wu Temple is the sole Confucius Temple in Taiwan and situated on the edge of Sun Moon Lake. The temple features three distinct halls, all of which are visible in the image below.

The view of Wen-Wu Temple is absolutely breathtaking, bringing the landscape to life. It’s honestly the most stunning Chinese temple I’ve ever laid eyes on in my entire life.

Su-hua Highway is located within Taroko National Park and situated South of Heren Kanan bridge across the Kanagang river with numerous beautiful spots and common trails that includes the famous Qingshui Cliffs, one of the top ten natural wonders of Taiwan.
Golden Waterfall

What’s not to adore about the Golden Waterfall? I eventually found out that the stunning sight I was talking about is actually a “toxic waterfall.” It has a high toxicity level because of harmful waste and chemicals from nearby factories. The gorgeous golden hue comes from the heavy rainfall around mining areas, which washes heavy metals into the riverbanks. It always leaves me in awe, but it’s definitely not safe to get close to. Despite its dangers, it will always have a special spot in my heart.
Fengyuan Huludun Park Expo Site
Taichung,Taiwan

The World Flora Exposition, renowned for its stunning floral displays that draws thousands of visitors annually. This event organized by the government is held at three distinct locations: Waipu Park, Fengyuan Hudulun Park, and Howli Horse Ranch and Garden Park.

The flower show highlights the newest trends in Taiwan’s flowers, garden landscapes, floral designs, and both potted and hanging plants. They’ve picked the best flowering plants for various settings and showcased innovative landscaping ideas along with native winter species.
Bamboo Pavilion
Taichung,Taiwan

Bamboo Pavilion, constructed from bamboo as indicated by its name was designed by Zuo Studio and is located in Fengyuan Huludun Park in Taichung. It symbolizes the city’s expansion and commitment to sustainable development.
Splendid Alishan Mountain or Ali Mountain
Alishan is a breathtaking mountain wilderness and nature reserve, standing as one of Taiwan’s key landmarks. During my visit, I had the chance to witness both the sunrise and sunset. To catch the early sunrise, we woke up at 3 AM, which felt pretty early since we had to head to the train station for the first train. Our van couldn’t take us up because the mountain is too steep; only the train can navigate the heights of Alishan.

Alishan Sunrise

This is pure bliss in solitude. A trip to Alishan which translates to “Ali Mountain” offers a stunning sunrise that truly rewards those who are willing to make the effort. Staying at a well-located hotel is key if you want to rise early 3 a.m. is the ideal time to hop on the railway. If you’re aiming to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the central Taiwan mountain peaks, getting up early is definitely worth it!

The sunrises and sunsets in Alishan are both stunning. The winter sunset here is particularly captivating. Watching the sun sink below the western horizon at the close of the day is truly an amazing experience.
Puli Catholic Church
Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan

The sole Catholic church we explored in Taiwan. The predominant religions among the Taiwanese population are Buddhism, Daoism, and Taoism. This reflects Taiwan’s status as one of the most religiously diverse regions globally.
Famous Old Street in Taipei

The historic street in Taipei features a variety of commercial establishments, picturesque views, artisanal snacks, street food, traditional restaurants, and shops offering a range of Taiwanese branded products. The contemporary architecture has been maintained to this day. Additionally, it serves as a prominent attraction during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Taroko National Park
Hualien County, Xiulin Township
Taroko Gorge is situated within Taroko National Park offers a variety of stunning attractions including Swallow Grotto Trail, Tunnel of Nine Turns, Changchun Shrine (Eternal Spring), Guanyin Cave, the Changchun Shrine Trail, and the Liwu River Valley, Liufang bridge among others. One of Taiwan’s nine national parks, Taroko Gorge was shaped by the Liwu River which carved its way through marble. The stunning scenery features towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, marble peaks, and the beautiful Liwu River making it one of the most breathtaking spots in Taroko Gorge.

Cimu Bridge known as one of Hualien’s eight wonders is a stunning structure made entirely of marble sourced from the region, making it the only bridge of its kind in Taiwan.

Taroko Jinheng Bridge
The path runs alongside the Liwu River, leading to the Jinheng Bridge. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the cliffs and the Liwu River just below.

Taipei Night Market and Taichung Feng Chia Night Market
The night market is an excellent place to shop for souvenirs, enjoy street food, and explore nearby bazaars, all at affordable prices. You’ll discover a wide variety of items here.


Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village

I didn’t visit the aboriginal village during our time there, as I was quite exhausted and nearing the end of the day. However, I did manage to take a photo of the entrance to this attraction.
As an adventurous traveler, I consider Taiwan to be one of my favorite places to visit globally. Explore Taiwan, one of the most stunning destinations in the world. This island boasts a distinctive charm, featuring breathtaking landscapes that are unlike those found in other countries. Its cleanliness and the warmth of its people enhance the experience. Indulge in the exquisite traditional Taiwanese cuisine and discover the affordable night markets that are a hallmark of the region.
