Hibiscus or Gumamela flowers a member of mallow family, they need full sun for best bloom production, best in high humidity , they prefer full sun but can tolerate partial shade. They bloom lavishly splendid when the sun is up, definitely looks dramatic with the morning sun rays. The good atmosphere will inspire your mood as the shape and colors make the flowers. A carpenter bee ( we call it,”Bubuyog”) A hairy and shiny black in color winged stinging insect frequently visiting a flower, they all depend on flowering plants and trees for nectar and pollen, they build their nests in small holes which is made from dead trunks. The only difference you can see here, the big one seems to move very slow because the body is fat and the small one has a thinner body, it’s quiet active and aggressive than the other one.

Selection of flowering plants must be suitable to every garden, great growth and greater number of blooms if it will extend the flowering season is the best choice that could simply makes a beautiful landscape.
Better than the rest to consider, Hibiscus or Rose Mallow or Chinese rose (Rosa-Sinensis) is known as ”Gumamela in the Philippines, shrubs up to 15 feet tall that could reach 3 feet tall for summering outdoors with green leaves. The bell flaring petals with a distinctive column of yellow stamen. Although not sweetly scented, Hibiscus is extremely an attractive blooming plant with delightful flowers for indoor and outdoor enjoyment that could possibly live for many years with care because it can withstand even if the soil is excessively dry.
Nowadays, color range is very wide, probably greater than any other flowers self colors, multi-colors and binocolors are now available in innumerable shades. The most commonly available varieties and rare kinds of Hibiscus colors; pink blooms, salmon, fuchsia, purple, blue, orange, lavender, peach, red and red-orange. To my wide research, Like roses, flowers of hibiscus plants can be made into a hot tea for stomach pain, cancer and weight loss.

Hibiscus are ideally suited for use in and landscaping designs, from borders to park entrance. The display of flowers brightly blooming from summer to spring. Hibiscus flowers are spectacular as proof shown.
I’ve always been curious about doing gardening around,I was even more interested in collecting and planting flowering plants in the backyard although our backyard garden is not so spacious. I’ve mixed the flowering plants, fruit trees and vegetables together as one. With too much effort to deal with it, I was much excited to see the result as photography plays a very important role to my morning pleasure.
Last summer, I bought some gardening materials and seeds before summering gardening started but many of our house plants kept indoors to control the light level but, light outdoors are never been great as outdoors. I’ve observed they seems to grow more slowly and need a special care.
It’s rainy season now, Some of our flowering plants drops most of its leaves and flowers turned yellow and very pale. Is it over watering? I really thought it would stay longer like a promising healthy plants I’ve seen around in garden parks. Different flowering plant needs different kind of care like watering, kind of soil and sunlight. Not to mention the night cool temperature and temperate level. That’s tough to handle, huh! I don’t really care,it’s my own and I was much inspired to see the fruit of my effort.
One attractive feature of this small tree, makes a charming green viewing when strolling around the park as it is just a walking distance from our house. Very soothing flowers appeared during the heat of summer, they are among the easiest flowering tree to grow outdoors. Actually, all flowering trees are sun-lovers. You may have noticed the level of light outdoors is great.

Inca Dove
It is said to be that doves may live, feeding and gather in large flocks but this Inca dove is solitary(existing alone) It is quite different from the rest being solitaire. At first, I thought it was a turtle dove as it is not a familiar visitor in our backyard but I’m not sure if this kind of dove belongs to the same family of turtle dove. I’ve noticed he flocked together with a large number of tree sparrows which are a regular visitors in the garden. Cat scraps on the ground are most welcome for them, our backyard seems to be a favorite destination of hungry sparrows although our garden is not that spacious enough but fruits trees can provide a place where they can refuge when alarmed at night. Natural sites and shaded positions is also important during nesting stage.
I’m a bird lover, I don’t mind the presence of birds, bees and butterflies around. They served as the best photography subject indoors. Macro shots shown here, the face is quite similar to the rock pigeon which is common in our area but has a pigeon-like appearance. I love the circular display flight, gliding on raised wings. I think, this dove is an adult dove as shown by its maturity and body appearance. Other rare pigeons were sighted in our area recently but I don’t know if there’s a census committee for rare pigeons.
July is generally recognized as wetter month, it’s rainy season but still there were a lot of flowering trees and plants around. What a dazzling display with the bees encircling around them, they depend on flowering trees and plants for nectar and pollen. There’s a resting place but no resting time for the busy bumblebees.
Bees are divided into social, which includes the Bumblebee, Hive bee and Solitary which I think are majority, they all have the same interests, all great pollinators. Social bees are very loving because they care for the young ones while Solitary bees especially the female, leaves a supply of food in each cell as they also lay their eggs on top and sealed it. The Bumblebee is generally amber and shiny-black as shown.
Inonotus Radiatus Mushrooms
Fungi attacking dead woods, Inonotus Radiatus is a hard semicircular mushroom with an alternate row colors of brown and white on a bark of a dead tamarind tree. It looks like a fresh baked crunchy biscuits.
Angle shade moth butterfly with a beautiful color combination, it includes, pink, purple, black and white with triangular patterns. I accidentally left window open last night and I’ve found 2 kinds of moth, one is sleeping on our hanging kitchen towel and the other, on the bathroom curtain.
Kitchen towel floral prints attracted the moth and it seems to provide excellent comouflage for the moth protection against night predators but what is this Angle shade moth doing inside the kitchen? Is it my night visitor? it is said to be the devils version of butterflies.
