When it comes to road trip,You’ll see spectacular scenery comes along the way. To keep my boredom away, I have photographed scenery through the car side mirror. The reflection through is good. It’s obvious that the driver is in charge, and I was beside entertaining myself getting spectacular reflections while the car is in motion. I just love the Toyota Innova, It’s spacious and has a bigger chrome side mirror that makes me comfortable to point my camera through the right side. Not to mention the cool air ceiling conditioning system. For me,It’s the best choice! Here’s the first shot taken along the way using the reflections on the right side of the car side mirror.
Parasol as a sunshield.
The glorious sun appeared revealing the beauty of the day.The beauty of light gives fullness of life to start a beautiful day.I’ve been keeping this parasol for more than 2 years.A parasol is a handy paper umbrella.A gorgeous sunshield.I bought it from bargain sale at the night market in Bangkok. It’s made out of thick Thai paper and bamboo with a traditional Chinese floral designs but, it’s durable.Parasol is useful under the hot weather, blocking the striking sunrays but, not good for rainy days.
Over the past years of blogging, I have been interested in photography. During that time, I was only a beginner, of course as a food blogger, I took photos of different foods on the table, animals, landscapes, sunset and flowers. Shooting images from straight in front of the subject is easy. For me,macro is the easiest. You might be thinking I’m a pro. now. No! Got some bad photos and thanks God! more on good ones. I will resolved to consider everything. I’m still learning following basic guide and some tips online and following the rules of cardinal photography. What is important is the determination and interest to do it. Learning from mistakes is the best teacher and thanks to my mentor, professional photographer of a famous magazine, a huge help to me, always pushing me to be patient and demanding me to do my best as well.A lot of times, my dedication to my work always pays off! How encouraging! Here’s my snapshots for the day. Got some underground snapshots of Manzanita flower inside the cave.

LEAF-CUTTER BEE NEST
By livelifeandlove onThe leaf-cutter bee nest was a waterproof nest.A home of their own choice which is well-planned.It looks like a cigar-tube.It was firmly rolled, well packed and quality intended to protect leaf-cutter bees from rain and, less likely to be attacked by enemies.I don’t see natural ventilation here,it seems to be closely-packed that even the air cannot enter.
Leaf-cutter bees gathered materials from these leaf and the next, you’ll see how well it was cut into circles. Just like humans too, They have different sizes of materials for specific purpose depending on the size on how big and long the cigar-like nest.
Damage on the leaves. Gathering piece by piece would be time consuming.Anyway,They cut it for a purpose and essential to their own survival.
SKY CLOUDS
By livelifeandlove on August 29, 2012Have you ever dream of beautiful clouds in the sky? It shows reality to these image, isn’t it? It seems everywhere, people seemed to be looking up here because it was a quiet a unique display. Unbelievable formation. Sometimes, the sky is clear and less clouds to cover the sky. However, most of the time, white clouds exhibits different kinds of formation, just like these.
STUNNING MOTH IMAGES
By livelifeandlove on August 25, 2012THE LEAF-CUTTER BEES
By livelifeandlove on August 24, 2012I love and hate these leaf-cutter bees.I just love them because they are beneficial and they pollinate all the flowers in the garden, but at the same time hate them for being the destroyer. They are beautiful but, my feelings for them developed very slowly because I don’t like their behavior. They cut all the leaves of the plants in the garden.
Compared to the honeybees, leaf-cutter bees are shiny black in color and smaller than the honeybees. You can see the difference here, check image above. The honeybee upward and the leaf-cutter bee downward sharing common interest.
This is how the leaf looks like after the damage! I’m just wondering why they behave like these. What made them crave to cut all the leaves?
THE HONEYBEE FIGHT
By livelifeandlove on August 22, 2012(Click on image to view larger)
This is a wrestling drill for the honeybees! Unexpected and I was impressed. The subtle flight movement and effective attacks. It’s just like a watching a wrestling match, but done in seconds. Like humans, the weaker opponent can easily give up.LOL! To shoot this kind of insect behavior, you need to wait for the right timing.
