By on September 26, 2016

I came across a book  aboutHow to interpret your dreams”, it was just a small magazine, a  ”Readers Digest” ( old version ) @ copyright 1979. I don’t know what lies beyond to those who will believe it 0r not? I just wanted to know more about the creative side of intellect by the authors; psychologist and the students. I’ve found the  content more interesting especially to those dreamers and believers.  Absolutely. an interesting matter to inform the meaning of your dreams with symbolic structures.

Here’s sharing part of the contents about the meaning and symbols of your dreams

Seven is dynamic number, a rainbow has seven colors and 7 days of the week and lunar cycle is 28 days or 4 x 7. Eight is octagonal forms and have a positive significance sometimes have a warning signal. Eleven is a new series of progress and Thirteen, a similar significance. ok! That’s all folks!

The Best Viewpoint of Rizal Monument

By on September 7, 2016

The monument was constructed made of bronze and granite (1912) by Swiss Sculptor Richard Kissling. The Philippine National Hero Monument is the most photographed and visited monument. Taken at Rizal Park, Luneta Manila August 1,2016.

Dr. Jose Rizal Monument 1913

From the best viewpoint must be at  frontal view but I’ve spotted something unpleasant upon taking few snapshots, the building behind the monument at the right side (Torre De Manila) is completely ruining the landmark itself. To compare 2 photos taken at the same scene and the same subject. Of course I want it to come out at its best to achieve a good result.

Check the photos from above and below, you can spot the difference . My problem here is on how to hide the building behind it? Nevermind about some amount of controversy about the construction of the building, it was already there. Here’s I’m pointing the best location and convenient position to get a good viewpoint, different position at the same scene.

From the first photo above, thriving on such photography challenge, I’ve avoided to snap it in front,  getting to the right side with a bit distance will give a good result even though taken at dusk and you can see the black clouds at the background.

To get the precise effect I’ve been looking for, sooner, I get back to the same location at different time of the day to shoot again.  Whew ! Right time of the day simply offers more stunning scenes and photographic opportunities.

Viewing and photographing the scene from the ground, above 4 skyscrapers  from the higher viewpoint, the wind speed blowing below upon taking the shots leaving my hair dry and tangled. I took the shot while walking around the Eastwood area last week, just as a nice scene for the day. About hair problems? Next time, gonna try the trendy hair braided style, that would be easier for me to avoid terrible mess!

Muntingia Calabura Flower or Aratiles Flower

By on August 24, 2016

Not only exceptionally attractive tiny flower but  it is also  beneficial for the insects, it blooms all year round to provide basic food for them. I’ve photographed this tiny wildflower in the morning and to other flowers from previous posts was done in different position at different times of the day with the natural light of the sun. Some images with the sun rays pointing directly to the flower and others, just as in the  natural habitat.

Carpenter Bees Pollinating Flowers

By on August 10, 2016

Large Carpenter Bee with small carpenter bee pollinating the same flower.

A carpenter bee ( we call it,”Bubuyog”) A hairy and shiny black in color winged stinging insect frequently visiting a flower, they all depend on flowering plants and trees for nectar and pollen, they build their nests in small holes which is made from dead trunks.   The only difference you can see here, the big one seems to move very slow because the body is fat and the small one has a thinner body, it’s quiet active and aggressive than the  other one.

Small Flowering Tree

By on July 22, 2016

One attractive feature of this small tree, makes a charming green viewing when strolling around the park as it is just a walking distance from our house. Very soothing flowers appeared during the heat of summer, they are among the easiest flowering tree to grow outdoors. Actually, all flowering trees are sun-lovers. You may have noticed the level of light outdoors is great.

Flowers of the lovely blooming small tree is an attractive accent as part of landscape design. Bright sunlight midday brings the richness of flowers.

The favorite flowers of the bumblebees. The flowers can lure insects like bees and butterflies for the purpose of pollination.

Just a small flowering tree that are mostly admired for their beautiful flowers.

Because of its delightful flowers, it remains as my favorite tree growing in the park.

All About Inca Dove

By on July 15, 2016

Inca Dove

It is said to be that doves may live, feeding and gather in large flocks but this Inca dove is solitary(existing alone) It is quite different from the rest being solitaire. At first, I thought it was a turtle dove as it is not a familiar visitor in our backyard but I’m not sure if this kind of dove belongs to the same family of turtle dove. I’ve noticed he flocked together with a large number of tree sparrows which are a regular visitors in the garden. Cat scraps on the ground are most welcome for them, our backyard seems to be a favorite destination of hungry sparrows although our garden is not that spacious enough but fruits trees can provide a place where they can refuge when alarmed at night. Natural sites and shaded positions is also important during nesting stage.

All about Turtle Dove

I’m a bird lover, I don’t mind the presence of birds, bees and butterflies around. They served as the best photography subject indoors. Macro shots shown here, the face is quite similar to the rock pigeon which is common in our area but has a pigeon-like appearance. I love the circular display flight, gliding on raised wings. I think, this dove is an adult dove as shown by its maturity and body appearance. Other rare pigeons were sighted in our area recently but I don’t know if there’s a census committee for rare pigeons.

Taipei 101

By on June 22, 2016

Incredible structures to present the works of art, architecture, and engineering, it is the tower that symbolizes the city, the iconic Taipei 101 is a beautiful skyscraper with a total height record of 508 meters that ranks the world’s tallest building from 2004-2010. It is also the world’s tallest floor at 438 meters and the world’s tallest roof at 448 meters. Observatory elevators holds the Guinness world Records as the World’s fastest passenger elevator. Taipei 101 mall attracts millions of tourist every year.

I have come to appreciate everything here, all the incredible structures. Indeed, the consistent effort to present the works of art and engineering which is more technically and technologically advanced. We’ve seen the big progress and development globally.

Humans aim high attracting international attention for the title “World’s tallest building” to gain prestige and recognition. My feelings widened with excitement along great things. In this century which is global in perspective,  It’s getting more updated, fast growing and competition is still going on, more tall buildings and great structural forms are getting better and taller. If you remember the Great Pyramid of Egypt at Giza holds the longest for 3,500 years until the next construction of another. World title started from tall, taller to the tallest. Presently holding the title, Burj Khalifa of Dubai as the ‘’World’s tallest skyscraper.’’ More skyscrapers has been and would be completed in the coming years to come..According to my reference, Jeddah Tower (167 Floors) will be the future next is still under construction so with the Merdeka PNB 118 of Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia (118 Floors)is now under construction, Dubai One (with 161 Floors) Is it practical to do this kind of expensive construction? Is it fruitful or wasteful?

Paskotitap Christmas Lights and Sounds Parade 2014

By on November 25, 2015

Paskotitap Christmas Lights and Sounds Parade 2014 is a beautiful
exhibition of electronic floats sponsored by participating institutions and schools.

What an extraordinary works of art regarding the tertiary colors of their choice was even more emphasized. It was just the right time to be there because images will show details that it’s worth it! Right? It was completely beautiful, you can view all the real colors of floats at daytime.

All floats are dazzling but what an effort! it was a long daylight exposure for me battling the intense heat from the sun. Paskotitap parade was scheduled at 6:00 pm, I went to check all the floats 3 hours earlier and this is my first time to cover it at daytime. I was just curious to see the accurate colors of all floats and the real images of the movie characters. It was more easier for me because there’s no rushing to snap unlike at night that you move to catch the speed that sometimes it shows blurry images.

You can already distinguished the difference to view all floats at day, if you can see the real colors at daytime, nigh photography shows good special effects, you usually see the bright neon colors are brilliant and vibrant because the light.

Note: To view it larger and better, don’t forget to click on all images below.

December 31, 2013, New Year Countdown to 2014 at Eastwood City

People in the Philippines set-off fireworks to mark the end of the year and to welcome the new start. The noisier, the merrier it is. Night sky was alive with the crackling noises of whistles, honking of car horns, ringing of bells, flashing of cellphone lights is done traditionally every year to drive away evil spirits.

Crowd gathered at Eastwood to witness the 2014 countdown. It was a midnight noise to wake up everyone and be merry for the New year 2014. Tourists from all over the world came to celebrate and witness how the year ends. American Idol Jessica Sanchez is back in the city to perform and lead the New year countdown to 2014 with other local performers; Bamboo, Mitoy to name a few.  Fireworks display draws thousands of people from different nationalities; Koreans,Indians, Turkish and many more. I was there to document the whole event. With the loud sounds and noises, I’m sure no bad spirit will stay alive, only good would be left around.

Here’s some shots taken during the countdown to 2014
