Sky Blue with Muntingia Calabura

By on October 9, 2013

Morning glow of the day is to appreciate all the good things in life as it was tightly packed with treasures and beautiful scenery. Watching the flowers take its shape in the morning and rate my favorites is the reason of enjoying the beauty of nature,it is something that I loved to do with passion that gives me a better view of the things around. Photographing the white flowers with the  blue sky  background looks well in a more natural setting,it  is a learning fun and fascinating.

Sky Viewing with Muntingia Calabura or Aratiles Flower

By on September 12, 2013

My habit keeps my mind active and physically occupied for a day. Photographing these wildflowers Muntingia Calabura has something to teach as well. This is just a short lived wildflower, it will only stay for a day and I just have to shoot it immediately before the sucking insects will arrive that it may caused discoloration.

The first bloom is lovely white in full sun although it was really small but, with fine quality once you’ll seen the result. This kind of flower may not be available during rainy season, they bloom more this time and less continuously.

Previously,I’ve published the first part of these images with the black background as it was glowing in the dark. I’m very passionate to do these things in the morning. Here’s the shots taken from day to day activities.

A NEW HOPE,CHINESE NEW YEAR 2013

By on February 11, 2013

Here’s Live Life and Love wishing you all, ‘‘KUNG HEI FAT CHOI”  It’s the Lunar year of the water snake. A new year to face challenges again. Chinese New Year will start Feb.10.Those born in the year of the Horse, Rat and Ox are the luckiest for this year.Since this is the lucky year for you especially to those superstitious and believers in Chinese Astrology, it is the season to be merry admittedly, everybody is happy and Chinese majority. This year would bring abundance of money, good luck in love and healthy living. This is what life is all about, Full of surprises.

Snake characteristics; silent, patient, alert, powerful and dangerous. Influences by, those who were born on this year will inherit the traits of an animal ruling over life. Based on the background, One characteristic of a snake is poisonous. Does it mean? it brings danger to? As we humans do not like to think about the danger part, about the earth’s crust that the world is going to end, disasters, avalanches, devastating floods, droughts and famines. We also hate to think about bad health, accidents, bankruptcy, work irregularity and other frustrations to name a few. Is it a proven scientific concept?

Animals thought, brings good luck as well as bad luck too ! Is it better to leave animal bad behavior and take only the good ones?Others, they use powerful animals for campaign posters and made animal symbols very popular.I’m not here to question Western culture, however, I still believe in the power of prayers and faith. Much more to consider, the determination to work harder in order to be successful. What if we just work hard and enjoy what life has to bring? I hope this year will be a productive and harmonious year for all of us !  ”Happy Chinese New Year Everyone !

Exceptionally Attractive Muntingia Calabura

By on January 30, 2013

For the first timers, to see this kind of wildflower  Muntingia Calabura would already be a common scene that you’ll see it everywhere or anywhere in the wild. Not even good for flower arrangement and bouquet  but, if you see the  close-up shots,it would be a different thing,Of my great surprise! Muntingia Calabura flower is  exceptionally attractive and superb!

We have it in our own backyard.A tree  that can tolerate full sun. Muntingia Calabura tree was indeed a valuable one, source of shade, with the flowers and fruit together serve the insects for their needs. It doesn’t require much care and tall enough that can adapt to any types of soil; moist or dry. After the blooming, a small fruit comes out,a fruit which is also the bird’s favorite. I was inspired to shoot these tiny flowers every time and it’s my favorite summer pastime.I was already doing these for almost a year and suited for my own purpose. It’s nice to share and it seems, I’m now giving an account of my daily work. It’s just a regular work needed to be done.

Here’s my photo collection of Muntingia Calabura or Aratiles Flower

100 Most Beautiful Photos of Honeybees

By on May 21, 2012

My summer collection of honeybees. These honeybees keeps me busy during summer.Call it,”My summer love affair with the honeybees”. It’s not easy to snap these flying insects under an extreme setting, exposing my skin under the bright sun, however,it’s quiet easy to photograph something in our own backyard garden.

These photos will help you understand of what is being described in my previous post. Got a hundred images for now, But soon, I’ll upload more for my specific topics. With these great number of images, so worried that I will wake up one day and see no more bees around. I would be missing them.

To let them stay longer? Honeybees are truly attracted to a small white flower of Muntingia Calabura. I really need to take care of these trees in order for the bees to stay longer. Somehow,  nature will do the rest. I was inspired to post it here as a reminder of the long summer vacation. It might be a great time pass and entertainment to view. Feel free to point the best one. Over a hundred photos of honeybees to view!

By on May 3, 2012

(Click on image to view larger)

This is a typical kind of wild flower called, Aratiles or Muntingia Calabura and the favorite of the bees. A very small flower but, looks so beautiful and attractive.

Here in the Philippines, We call it  Aratiles flower but, according to my research, it came out to be very different. The fruit looks almost the same with the aratiles fruit I’ve seen in the book but, the leaves looks different from the rest of sample pictures. I’m just curious about it!

A Taste of Experience

By on May 30, 2011

The food that I like best is the food that makes me hungry, just to think of it is very simple. Let’s just say that I very seldom miss a meal! Recently, on a trip to Tagaytay, I was treated to a friendly lunch at an absolutely delightful restaurant. I ordered mushroom salad and my friends ordered mushroom burger too. It was incredible. I had never tasted anything like this before. I can describe the flavor as being somewhere between a prawns and a local beef steak. I ordered more to share with my friends. I just love the taste of the mushroom salad. They are called Shitake Mushroom.

Let me tell you, I did not leave the restaurant without learning their source. I discovered that they were being raised in a very limited supply. They raised their own in their backyard at the back of the restaurant. Thinking I could take few pounds home with me. The owner graciously invited me out to their facilities. I went there buy mushrooms but instead, received a lecture to educate me.

Now, with a virtually unlimited supply of my favorite foods like mushroom, I’ve become something of a good listener and soon, I will raise my own in my backyard. The reason why I like mushrooms is because of the unique flavor, rich in protein  and the low calorie content. All the nutrition stuff is great.

Honestly speaking, I go for less fat, less sodium foods. This is the reason why I go for selective dishes when I cook. I love Chinese dishes but the only problem is too oily, especially the stir- fried foods. It would be a sin for me if I eat it because for all we know that it adds more weight. I’m a health conscious. To see something oily on the table alone makes me fat. I hate these thoughts. really! I just love the tastes of it but it seems too cruel for what it may bring.

Opening of Classes/ School Days Again

By on

Children can’t wait for the opening of classes. They are anxious to see their old classmates and new teachers as well and proud  parents are happy to see them leave for school right? after, there would be a calm and free moment for the parents to rest and house would be more peaceful and organized after spending weeks of preparing for this.

As the school year starts, I’m very hopeful that this year 2011-2012  would be a better start. The good thing about it , We live in a place that happens to be near the school. Thanks God! The school is just 10 minutes drive away. I don’t experience any morning rush and stress but the only drawback living near the school is the heavy traffic congestion that happens around 6-7 in the morning and in the afternoon during dismissal time.

I always received text messages from friends about choosing a school for their child. I always tell them few factors to consider:’’ If you want to get a better education is to live in a convenient place near-by school” but as I know, not everyone can afford to live in an expensive neighborhood like; Valle Verde, Greenwoods,  Kapitolyo etc. One convenience of living few blocks away is I can save gas and energy too. Another thing to consider is the school facilities and educational approaches like; class size and classrooms, library, clean restrooms, modern technology to meet student special needs and demands, modern facilities. Although, it’s not a guarantee for higher achievement  but it helps.

If you are concerned parents? the most important is their safety of your kids. Exchanging views and opinions with friends can help you decide which one to follow. Our school have been hiking of portion fees( a percentage) but, added some services like: air-conditioned classrooms, special clubs, additional books, modern technologies,  etc. So don’t mind  prices of oil and commodities have rocketed together with tuition fees at the same time. Be private or public as long as you parents have done all you can in sending your kids to get a good education. Perhaps, it’s exciting to plan and think about their future if you are prepared and secured.
