Summer Sunset

By on March 28, 2017

Manila Bay Sunset

The dramatic view of the sunset in an open sea setting, the location at closer distance from the road, it’s impossible to clear away the sun watchers, fisherman and vendors around but sometimes, they also serves as supporting subject and additional human element in the background.

The best viewpoint is the mellow yellow-orange light with splashes of vibrant colors is ideal, striking rays heading straight forward directly to my position is a big advantage getting easier to focus.

To capture the sunset  is not that hard even if the sunset will only lasts for minutes, work must be done very quickly. The result is not always perfect as expected sometimes, it came out to be very bright and others dull and blurry. I just have to practice all photography measures, Next time, just as to hold my breath before clicking to avoid shaking.

The faithful dog guarding his Master’s fishing boat

Very rare timing to catch up, to include an animal with the view of the sunset but what a perfect poise for the dog! It looks like the fisherman’s dog is tired but actively opens his mouth showing his wet tongue, adorable looks, huh! Thanks Doggie for your cooperation! Thanks for making my day!

Mali, the Captive Elephant

By on March 23, 2017

Sri Lankan elephant named Mali inside an enclosure at Manila Zoo (Formerly known as Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden) Mali the only captive elephant in the Philippines  has already endured 43 years of extreme confinement.

If ever, I don’t want animal to suffer, I already mentioned this before for the ” Migratory Birds of Malaysia” and to repeat it once again here. I just remember the practice of one biologist in Zimbabwe, they capture animals by shooting with guns that fire darts filled with tranquilizing drugs, the same technique to capture free roaming animals.

Every year, elephants are being slaughtered and killed for their ivory tusks. I was told, most tusks taken in the past 20 to 30 years shipped through different countries around the globe. Is this a joke? Feeling so sad for this, what can you do about it?

My only dream for Mali , to be reunited with her related family in a good habitat, a native vegetation back home. How nice to see her reunited with other herbs happily waving her tusks doing greeting ceremonies with the group. Perhaps, there’s still hope for Mali, I’ll pray for that!

However, the sepal and stigma  is color green,so with the evergreen leaves. During hot season, the taste of the fruit is quiet sweet and juicy but during rainy days, it’s tasteless as it’s only good for the birds and honeybees.

Giant Sunflowers with Bright clouds in the Background

Leaving temporarily my daily chores behind, I can’t neglect my morning hobby to at least capture one beautiful subject a day. Sunflowers attracted enormous attention from passers around and amid expectations from me that it would even be more better to see it in pictures. This is my expression to brighten up my day and after snapshots would be getting into blogs afterwards so this is it.
