Bird Watching / Manila Bay

By on October 17, 2014

Manila Bay, Roxas Boulevard is a natural harbour.

Seeing wonders right before my eyes is a burst of inspiration. One of the best pastime when it comes to  relaxation is to capture the flying moments of these water birds. Seagulls, egrets, kingfishers and other seabirds  seems to be following each other looking for a place to rest. Other birds floating on water and diving through to catch a small fish.

If you walk around and brings you to a sight which you can feel while watching it, This is it, you’ll experience the serenity here, Manila Bay, Roxas Boulevard is the best spot. While watching the sun sink descending in the horizon, birds flew endlessly across the bay, it flew and flew until they get tired following the direction of the wind.

By on October 15, 2014

It’s educational, responsibility and travel opportunity for pilgrimage lovers and mountain climbers. Visit the Holy Place ”Mount Banahaw” lying between  provinces of Laguna and Quezon.

Mount Banahaw is an active volcano in the Philippines and the tallest mountain in Southern Tagalog. My hiking adventure going Mount Banahaw seems to be a easy hour hiking but you’ll experienced sweating in tropical heat.

I just hope today, the weather will brighten up so to allow me to enjoy hiking and taking snapshots around. For more than a month of cloudy skies and heavy downpour, typhoon just left after bringing rains to Metropolis and provincial areas. My adventure continues, more photos next posts…

By on July 31, 2014

The most wonderful time to be in the garden may be just when the sun is up, the first shine of the day is still cool. Around, lots of flowering plants looks and smells most brilliant under the early morning mist.

As the wind blows  scattering to perfume the air and attract morning pollinators, it was here, the most likely places where honeybees and butterflies can be found. Here  are the morning pollinators of the day! Just taken hours ago.

SUNFLOWER FARM

By on April 23, 2014

After my 3 days vacation in Tagaytay, one of the best features that I will highlight here is the Sunflower field. It’s not that hard to find this common kind because it is wild form. As you know, sunflowers can withstand the dry conditions of the soil. I’ve noticed that sunflower grow and spread faster especially if the space is not limited.

With the rich soil and temperate climate of Tagaytay, all the subdivision vacant plots was loaded with these flowers and some growing salad vegetables.  Exploring the farm under full bright sun makes me feel exhausted, the heat of the sun was so intense that makes my skin bit darker. However, the sky clouds seemingly low and blue in color, thought it would make a beautiful background to produce lovely shots.

Gardening was much improved over the years, the presence of different species of flowering plants and wild forms have flourished.  If you follow the routes going to the tropical forest, you’ll discover unique varieties with wide range and colors.

Sunflower produces wide golden-yellow blooms which is abundant throughout summer. From the name itself, of course, sunflower is a summer flower that loves the sun. Attractive as it looks, big lovely splash of golden-yellow petals makes the best decorative background in the farm. For me, every garden must have the wild side, the attendance of wild sunflowers must be present for the garden to look brilliantly natural.

Would love to take home some, I want a sunflower garden of my own. I’ve collected some dried sunflowers so I can get seeds from it. Sunflowers can be raised from seeds. I’ll bring it home and scatter those seeds in the garden.

Here are some of the photos I took during the first day of my vacation there. Lets get started!

Feeling of Love in Romantic Setting

By on April 11, 2014

Love feeling that takes place in romantic setting

Low clouds and afternoon mist provides dramatic effect before the sunset. A young man sitting alone serves to highlight the colorful shadow before sundown. What is the young man doing in this area? No one bothered him except me for a few moment chat with him. What brought you here? And he replied,”Just to see the sunset’’  What is so special about the sunset?  He answered, It gives refreshing mood away from hectic school schedules and assignments.

For few questions, I’d like to get a possibility from him to open a love story but,I refrain myself from asking too many questions because it might be awkward to answer such things. There was no early arrangement made to interview since it was only a chance meeting. He was busy texting while talking. I guess, curiosity made me so, he’s here to release all his worries. After having him talked as he wished, he left holding his mobile on hand. With just a few steps away, He turned his back and said, I think, I’m already in love! Ohhh! that’s the point I’ve been waiting for…

How could you forget something just as for me to repeat his name as he walk away.. I can recall other details with the facts that came in the corner of just a short conversation. It seems to be a typical love story revolving around teenagers of today.

An outdoor experience. A good setting where you can get more hours to refresh and think about what the next move.

I agree, this is the perfect place to relax but, if you ask me to relate the atmosphere here, I can just describe it as a lonely daybreak. I mean, at least, you must have a meaningful smile even if hectic school assignment arises! It’s just a part of education and for you to learn and grow up!

IMG_5578 copy

Looks like a solitaire but I don’t see any grim expression on his face.No matter what we go through life, to love and to be loved, it’s meant to make life worth living.

DSC07648 copy

Far from the buzz of the university crowd. Sometimes, It’s more calm and peaceful to be with yourself for awhile.

DSC07683 copy

Among my favorite places to go, I really believed this place is the best refreshing area that’s why I was also here at that time.

IMG_5648 copy

How wonderful to view the same area at this time of the day. It’s makes a big difference if you stay home and enclosed yourself to a room with only 4 wall corners to view every time. That would be very boring, isn’t it?

DSC07686 copy

Taken 30 minutes before the sunset.

IMG_5576 copy

This refreshing sight is a wonder of nature. If you see these scenic views you’ll forget all your worries and what lies beyond… It would be a meaningful experience to view the sunset. It will help you appreciate and understand Mother Nature. And you? How do you refresh yourself? and where?

PRIVATE HAWK MOTH

By on March 26, 2014

IMG_5542 copy copy

Private hawk moth

The kind of moth that will come as something of a surprise, it’s another night flyer, a private hawk moth  found  near the garden decorative light. Just like other moths, I guess this moth was attracted to the garden lights. I’ve observed that  hindwing is more attractive and colorful than the forewing.  I’ve never seen one like this before. You can only see the color of the hindwings while flying. That makes it completely different to that of the butterfly, the butterfly forewing and hindwing colors are the same. I simply believed, our garden here is a natural one housing all different kinds of insects. Perhaps, without these insects, it wouldn’t be a garden anymore.

The private hawk moth hindwing is partly hidden. You can see the dark pink and light pink dotted combination of the hindwings.

Only for the Flowers

By on February 17, 2014

IMG_1925 copy

On my way home, I saw a queen bee pollinating the flowers, I immediately grabbed my camera to take a snapshot. As I was about to press the shutter,it flew backwards. I followed it again for the 2nd time, it flew straight to my camera encircling my head. How aggressive! I just stand-by firmly, I didn’t make any movement in order to be safe. For the 2rd try, I pressed the shutter and it’s done! That time, it was about to rain and I hurriedly packed everything before it gets wet.

To my surprised when I saw this photo. Where is the bee? The queen bee is nowhere to be found. Whew! I’ve missed to check my camera earlier. So the result, what is left are the flowers minus the queen bee. I really thought it was successful, How tough and aggressive to photographed such one. Previously, I have photographed the honeybees and the city bees. I can even touch these bees unlike the queen bee,it was quite bigger and aggressive, I can’t even come closer, so scared that its just like breaking my brain cells into pieces. It just happened that I’m also an aggressive photographer and I’m sure, I will get her back soon!

MERALCO VISIT

By on December 19, 2013

DSC03392 What a glorious night! We arrived home late last night. Me and my sister visited Meralco compound to check what’s new for this year 2013. Everything was totally the same as last years presentation, only half of the compound was lighted, the only ones present;  Giant Christmas tree, the Chapel, Native houses, 3 Wise kings, Tsu-tsu train, Holy family (Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus) to name a few.  That means, I can only document what was there at present. I realized, I feel comfortable to capture what was there, not too many people around unlike during Christmas eve, it  was jam-packed with people. According to the guard, they will light everything this Christmas eve. Oh! I would be missing half of it. I need to come back again in days time until completion is done.
